Hi David.

Re "...Check the SAT numbers out and spare me the lectures..."

I strongly disagree with the implied suggestion that some races are less smart or less hard-working than some other races (or did I misread?). I think this and similar arguments are very much mistaken and not helpful to our goals. On the contrary, I think we should emphasize that everyone, and that means everyone, is warmly invited to work with us to create wonderful futures on this planet and beyond.

Having said that, I totally agree that forced political correctness has a "hugely demoralizing effect."

We should build, or rebuild, a "pro-space exploration bloc" that is open to everyone.

Concerning two-bloc political/cultural systems, I think a major risk is that of entering a slippery slope that eventually leads to the supremacy of extremist voices, and the suppression of moderate voices, in each bloc. I have the impression that this is happening th the U.S. Things would be less dangerous and more stable with separate center-right and center-left parties. Contrary to extremists, we moderates are able and willing to work with those we don't entirely agree with.
